Good morning! I am happy to report that I am writing this draft from a local coffee shop at 6:29 am. When I left home shortly after 6 am in the darkness, my steps were lit by waning moonshine with a moonbow around it. The street was quiet. I wanted to start a weekly morning ritual to dedicate time for my writing… to see if I could put ink to brewing thoughts and ideas in my mind. I can, of course, do this at home, too, by making my own tea or chai latte, but this is my first time living in a walkable neighborhood since I moved from Japan 30 years ago. So here I am at a coffee shop at 6:29 am as the dark sky slowly softens.
