Loving all of me

In mid-December, right before my birthday, I went overnight solo camping at a local campground. It was my first time taking our camper van by myself, and wow. I am so used to camping with the whole family that it was such an interesting experience to be alone and to have an entire space and time, even just for one short night.

I got there just in time to watch the sunset at the beach and returned to a quiet van afterward. At first, I panicked a bit (or a lot) with a void of many things I am accustomed to in my everyday life. Kids asking for something from me, the routine to tidy the space (with a small van, it can easily get out of control with four of us and our stuff), constantly making someone a meal, tea, or snack…
